Clover uses a concept called Global Customers. When multiple customer records share the same name and email or phone number at the same merchant, Clover consolidates them into a single global customer profile.
For example, you may have uploaded 9,022 customers, but Clover is showing a count of 8,622 global customers. Your data was still imported successfully; it simply reflects Clover's logic.
