If you sell items that are priced by weight, you can connect a compatible scale to the Clover device running Order Kiosk. This allows customers to weigh per-unit items directly at the kiosk, and the price will be calculated automatically before being added to the cart.
If you don’t have a scale, you can instead set up items as variable priced. This lets customers enter the amount they wish to pay for the product. For example, if an item is priced at $10 per pound and a customer enters $5, you’ll know to prepare 0.5 lb of that item. To set up a variable-priced item in Clover, use the Inventory app, add a new item, name it, and set its Price Type to "Variable".
If no scale is connected and the item is sold per unit, the default behavior is that it is sold as whole units. Customers add the item to their order just like any other item in the kiosk, one unit at a time.
