Each time you launch the Order Kiosk app on your Clover device, you are prompted to select Categories and Labels to show. The items you want to be available for order in Kiosk Mode must have BOTH the labels and categories you chose before entering Kiosk Mode.
- Categories are required and are used to group the items on your menu. For example, a lunch restaurant may have the following categories: Sandwiches, Salads, Desserts, Beverages.
- Labels are optional and are used to limit the items available through a kiosk. For example, a lunch restaurant may serve certain items that are only available at the full-service section of the restaurant (not available at the kiosk). In this case, the restaurant could use multiple labels (kiosk, pre-made & full-service) to differentiate the items. Only items with the labels "kiosk" or "pre-made" would be available at the kiosk. Items without at least one of those labels would not show up in Kiosk Mode.
If you select no labels when launching the Kiosk, all items with the chosen categories will be visible, regardless of whether they have any labels. So, to show all items with the categories "drinks" and "sandwiches" in Kiosk Mode, you don't need to tag them with any labels.
