How do I automatically send Happy Birthday emails to my customers?

By connecting Clover to MailChimp using ListBuilder, you can automatically send emails on your customers' birthdays!

Clover Set Up

Customers will be eligible for Happy Birthday emails only if they meet the following conditions in the Clover customers app:

• The customer has a valid email address
• The customer has a valid birthday value
• The customer has opted in for marketing

ListBuilder Set Up

Create a connection from your Clover account to your MailChimp account.

MailChimp Setup

From the list that you selected when creating a connection, navigate to the settings for "List fields and *|MERGE|* tags"

Create a field exactly as shown below with "BIRTHDAY" in both fields, then press Save Changes.

Follow MailChimp's instructions to create an automated email based on the Birthday value

That's it!

Any new customers who meet the conditions above will have their birthdays synced to MailChimp and receive a special birthday message from you!
