How do I automatically send Happy Birthday emails to my customers?

By connecting Clover to Mailchimp using ListBuilder, you can automatically send emails on your customers' birthdays.

Clover Setup

Customers are eligible for Happy Birthday emails only if they meet the following conditions in the Clover Customers app:

• Has a valid email address
• Has a valid birthday value
• Has opted in for marketing

ListBuilder Setup

Create a connection from your Clover account to your Mailchimp account.

Mailchimp Setup

1. From the list you selected when creating the connection, go to List fields and |MERGE| tags.

2. Create a new merge field named exactly BIRTHDAY (both the field name and tag), then click Save Changes.

3. Follow Mailchimp's instructions to create an automated email based on the Birthday value.

That's it! Any new customers who meet the conditions above will have their birthdays synced to Mailchimp and will receive a birthday message from you.
