Setting Up Order Kiosk
1. Configure your settings From the Clover Web Dashboard, navigate to the Settings section of the app and configure it to fit your needs. We recommend watching our Order Kiosk settings video for a full overview of available options.
2. Create a Kiosk label Your kiosk menu is built from the inventory labels and categories you select when launching Customer Facing Mode. We recommend creating a label called Kiosk in your Clover inventory and assigning it to every item you want available for ordering.
To create a label:
- Log in to your Clover dashboard.
- From the left navigation, go to Items > Printer Labels.
- Select Add Label and enter a name (e.g., Kiosk).
- Select Assign Items, then choose the items to include. (If no items appear, you'll need to add inventory items first.)
- Select Save. From the label detail page, you can assign additional items, edit label details, or delete the label.
3. Assign items to your kitchen printer If you have a kitchen printer, follow these instructions to ensure kiosk orders fire to the correct printer. No kitchen printer? Skip this step.
4. Launch Customer Facing Mode Open the Order Kiosk app on your Clover device and tap Customer Facing Mode. You'll be guided through three prompts:
- Default note — Optionally give this device a name (e.g., Kiosk 1) to help identify it on orders. Tap OK or skip.
- Inventory labels — Select which labels to use on this kiosk. If you created a Kiosk label in Step 2, select it here. Tap OK when done.
- Inventory categories — Select which categories to display. Only items matching both the selected labels and categories will appear on your kiosk menu. Tap OK when done.
5. Upload item and category images (Kiosk with Images plan only) If you're subscribed to the Kiosk with Images plan, you can upload custom images for your items and categories via the web version of the app. See How do I add custom images to my categories & items? for instructions.
